Tottenham midfielder Ryan Mason has been called up to the England squad for Tuesday night's friendly against France.
Michael Carrick was injured in Friday's 2-0 defeat to Spain, which left manager Roy Hodgson short of options in the centre of the park for the visit of Les Bleus.
Manchester United's Jesse Lingard's first call up eased the loss of Jamie Vardy and now Mason has been added to the senior set up to boost options further after Fabian Delph pulled up in training on Monday.
Mason, who has one senior international cap to his name, has not started a Premier League game since mid-September when he injured his knee against Sunderland.

Well a major terrorist attack has just happened, killing 100+ innocent people, much like the attack that killed innocent people on our own land a few years back. On the pitch will be players who have had family members caught up in the tragedy, and possibly one player who's cousin was killed. This could easily happen in London, and probably will again at some point. I doubt you will see anyone disrespecting the French national anthem tomorrow night.
